Are you passionate about IT and enjoy supporting others? If so, we're looking for an IT Support Engineer to join our team in Cambridge on a contract basis until the end of 2025. The primary focus of this contract will be on delivering key objectives, with a particular emphasis on our surface replacement project across the business. As the first point of contact on our IT Service Desk, the successful candidate will deliver efficient, professional, and courteous IT support to the Firm’s users via telephone, email, online chat and in person. The role involves regular travel to our other office locations, so a valid driving license and access to a car are essential. What you’ll be doing:

Maintain the highest standards of customer care, always behaving both professionally and courteously and adopting the view that the customer is the most important part of the job. Assigning the relevant priority to support requests (incidents and service requests). Provide onsite IT support and provide scheduled onsite support for other offices, as and when required. Assist with the support, installation, and maintenance of hardware, such as PCs, laptops, multi-function printers, mobile devices, meeting room audio/visual technology, telephone system. Manage service requests for starters and leavers, ensuring that new starters are inducted in a professional and timely manner, and that leaver requests are dealt with promptly to uphold system security. Escalate any concerns raised by end users regarding prioritisation and deadlines. Assist with the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures. Support the wider IT services team with IT projects and initiatives. Manage the surface replacement project across the business (approx. 320 devices to be built). Undertake any other duties allocated by the IT Management team. About You:

Enthusiastic individuals with excellent customer facing skills. 1-2 years' experience working within an IT support role would be beneficial. Experience of working in a professional services firm would also be beneficial. Ability to be office-based 5 days a week. Confident, customer focused and personable. Why Bidwells?
