Job focus: Join our team as an IT Specialist and collaborate with scientists, Quality Assurance, corporate IT, and vendors to support the generation and management of laboratory data at the Asymchem Sandwich site. You will manage laboratory system installations, upgrades, and integrations while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, you will troubleshoot technical issues, support laboratory instruments, and provide expert guidance on system validation and data integrity. You will align IT systems with laboratory workflows to optimize equipment performance and maintain seamless operations through proactive technical support and continuous improvement initiatives. Roles & responsibilities may include: Instrument Management:

Support installation, configuration, qualification, and support of laboratory instruments such as HPLCs, Mass Spectrometers, FTIR, and pH/conductivity meters. Data Integrity and Compliance:

Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across all laboratory systems by adhering to applicable regulatory requirements such as data integrity guidance, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and 21 CFR Part 11. Support data integrity efforts for Asymchem including partnering with scientists to perform data integrity risk assessments. System Validation:

Collaborate with scientists, Quality Assurance, and corporate IT to support computerized systems validation efforts for Asymchem ensuring they are documented and compliant with regulatory standards. Qualifications, skills and experience: There are no specific or mandatory qualifications for this position; however, a relevant academic qualification in information technology or a related subject is desirable. Experience in the delivery of laboratory digital solutions, especially in the pharmaceutical or related industry, is essential. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering effective teamwork and collaboration, are essential. A passion for continuous learning and improvement, with a strong ability to acquire new skills and apply them effectively. Experience in leading IT projects, including system upgrades, installations, migrations, and the integration of new technologies, ensuring timely delivery and budget compliance, is highly desirable. Knowledge of industry standard network protocols and network integration techniques across Ethernet and Wi-Fi is desirable. An understanding of how to implement and maintain security protocols to protect sensitive client data from cyber threats is desirable.
