What you'll do at work Demonstrate a natural ability in IT and evidence this as an IT hobbyist, such as building custom PCs. Learn and become proficient in Support Desk I.T Systems through hands-on experience in the IT support triage environment. Repair IT hardware, reinstall operating systems and software, which includes dealing with both new and older kit, upgrading components, and installing new software versions. Problem solve IT-related incidents and problems, assisting customers in resolving IT incidents remotely. Show empathy while reassuring customers that their problems will be solved within the agreed contractual SLAs. Commission IT and associated equipment, which may involve installation of new IT kit and occasional travel to customer sites, providing variety and face-to-face customer interaction. Exhibit excellent customer service abilities and possess strong spoken communication skills.
