IT Support Engineer, 2nd Line, Windows, Bristol to £32K A leading Managed Services Provider is looking to recruit an IT Support Engineer to work in their client’s offices located in Bristol. As part of a team of dedicated technicians, you’ll be providing 2nd Line and Desktop Support to approx. 1000 to 1250 users - covering cutting edge hardware, software and infrastructure technologies. Supporting one of the UK’s largest firms within their industry, this role combines both end-user support with more technical hands-on troubleshooting. The role: The IT Support Engineer will provide support to a diverse group of onsite and off-site users. You will be based onsite in our client’s office in Bristol. As part of a team of two onsite technicians, you’ll respond to incidents and requests via a modern IT Support System in line with company SLA’s and ensure documentation is up to date. You’ll troubleshoot Desktops/Laptop, telephony, network and printing errors, investigate software issues and carry out daily checks. You’ll also ensure that the computers you’re responsible for are compliant with Cyber Essential Plus as well as installing and configuring hardware, software and mobile devices. You’ll also have the opportunity to carry out server-based tasks and gain insight into infrastructure-based technology. About you: The successful 2nd Line IT Support Technician will need to be self-motivated, conscientious, methodical and organised, with the ability to liaise with clients at all levels of a business whilst always demonstrating excellent customer service. You’ll possess a logical approach to problem solving and will already be experienced in a similar role. Essential skills: Minimum 1-year experience in a similar role Fantastic user management soft skills Windows 10, MS Server 2012/2019, MS Office 365 Active Directory & Group Policy administration IP networking & telephony, DNS, DHCP Server, network and desktop hardware Desirable skills: SCCM Mobile device support Sophos AV Arcserve Backup Solutions Intune Desirable qualifications: Any of the following: MCSE/MCITP, MCP/MCTS or VCP.
