Arcas Technology is partnered with a leading Manufacturing company based in Kent who are currently looking for an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis.
This position involves working with the IT business team to drive ongoing improvements, enhancements, and the adoption of new processes to optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of business systems.
The role will require regular interaction with various software platforms, with a strong emphasis on the ERP system. Therefore, familiarity with SQL, report generation, and business intelligence tools is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with site teams to identify ways to improve data collection, management, and visualization, aiming to streamline processes and boost efficiency.
· Ensure adherence to strict change control procedures, keeping all stakeholders updated throughout the process.
· Support the deployment, management, and ongoing enhancement of business systems.
· Assist with advanced database maintenance tasks.
· Address escalated issues promptly, coordinating internally or with external parties to ensure incidents are resolved with appropriate urgency.
· Document operational workflows and procedures.
· Test and implement new workflows in collaboration with relevant teams.
· Manage multiple projects with tight deadlines, prioritizing tasks as necessary.
· Oversee and conduct thorough testing for ERP system upgrades, managing the testing plan and assisting with the upgrade process, escalating issues to third-party providers if needed.
Key Skills:
· Solid experience with ERP systems.
· Strong proficiency in SQL querying.
· Experience with report generation (Crystal Reports is a plus).
· Familiarity with business intelligence tools (experience with Qlik or Power BI is preferred).
· Experience collaborating with end users and customers.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
