£35,000 - £50,000 + great benefits ________________________________________ Job Description: My client is seeking a skilled IT Systems Engineer to manage and maintain IT infrastructure, provide technical support, and ensure seamless operations across four business groups. The ideal candidate will have strong server administration experience, a background in technical support to at least a 2nd Line level, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities: Server Administration: Maintain and optimize Microsoft servers, apply updates, and ensure system reliability. Technical Support: Provide 1st & 2nd line support, resolving hardware, software, and network issues. Backup Solutions: Implement and manage backups using VEEAM, ensuring data integrity and compliance. Requirements: Minimum 2 years of IT systems engineering experience. Base level proficiency in SQL. Experience in VEEAM backup management. Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to drive for occasional client site visits. Advantageous: Advanced SQL Management: Build and troubleshoot SQL queries, create reports, and manage database performance and security. Experience with Lexis Nexis VisualFiles.
