Position Overview As an IT Systems Technician, you will support the Engineering team in their daily tasks. Your responsibilities will include testing and updating all IT equipment, from installing the latest firmware to cleaning and repairing received equipment, making sure systems are ready for use. You will also prepare products for sale, maintaining the highest quality and verifying that they meet customer specifications before delivery. The position would suit an individual who is proactive, approachable, and enjoys achieving results. If you have strong attention to detail and take satisfaction in finding practical solutions to challenges, this position could be a great fit for you. The position is office-based in Dalbeattie. Our standard operating hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5 pm. Responsibilities Testing, inspection, and recording of servers, switches, and storage devices. Stripping, cleaning, and reassembling equipment according to instructions. Fault finding and repair on servers, storage, and networking equipment when cost-effective. Building customer servers to specified requirements. Reviewing and improving testing procedures as needed. Verifying equipment interoperability and compatibility through testing. Testing and confirming faults on customer returns. Skills, Knowledge and Experience Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role. Excellent attention to detail. Competence with Microsoft Office Outlook & Excel. Strong team player with the ability to use their own initiative. Problem-solving attitude. Industry-recognised certificates would be beneficial e.g. CompTIA. Benefits Salary £24,960. 31 days of annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays. Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave.
