The IT Technical Capacity Manager is a key role who helps to analyse, implement, coordinate & communicate, and deliver capacity management strategy and plans for the bank’s IT ecosystem. The position is critical to shaping the bank’s approach in capacity planning, monitoring, and issue remediation. You will provide an overall leadership role serving as the liaison between the key business and application stakeholders and the infrastructure teams including data centre platform owners, support teams, cloud services, Network, Mainframe, End user support services, and SaaS solutions. You’ll also identify unused and underutilised infrastructure components and areas, recommend actions to reclaim, right size and consolidate infrastructure, and drive initiatives. What you’ll bring • Ability to understand the end-to-end IT System infrastructure landscape including on-prem data centres, cloud, and SaaS based solutions and application platforms. • Ability to manage multiple vendor resources and teams as per the bank’s IT contracts with the vendors. • Ability to bring in the TCO flavour for infrastructure capacity based on the usage levels, explain capacity change impacts in cost terms and drive conversations in business understandable terminology. • Ability to provide ownership of end-to-end capacity monitoring processes, contribute to monitoring strategy, defining metrics, monitoring thresholds, KPI’s and remediation actions for capacity usage breaches etc. • Experience in analysing capacity incidents, identifying proper root cause for capacity issues and in arranging mitigation actions to reduce or avoid capacity incidents. • Knowledge of service now modules for CMDB, change management, incident management, problem management and reporting for usage of Service Now in day-to-day Capacity Management tasks. • Previous experience training and mentoring IT staff on Capacity processes and process improvements. • Prior experience in providing infrastructure architecture assistance to application platforms and business teams across an enterprise-wide environment catering to different business units and varied technology solutions will be an added advantage.
