IT Technician Gloucester - 5 days on site £33,000 + Benefits including: 25 days holiday rising to 30, generous pension, cycle to work scheme, free lunch, parking and ongoing training and development. This is a fantastic opportunity for you, an experienced IT Technician, or IT Support Engineer, to join a leading organisation based in central Gloucester. You will be a key member of the IT department and help to ensure a first-class support function across the full IT Infrastructure, including networks, hardware, software and security. Key duties for the IT Technician / IT Support Engineer include: Ensure equipment throughout the organisation is maintained in good working order and resolve any day-to-day problems as they arise Manage the performance and maintenance of the software platforms which run the whole organisation Monitor the use of IT throughout the organisation, ensuring access to the network and applications is suitably controlled and that cyber security provision is robust Manage the maintenance of other IT operated through the network, e.g. telephone system, CCTV Provide technical support for users. 1st line and 2nd line / Desktop Support Provide IT training when required Help deliver and manage projects through the research, analysis and planning phase to the implementation and review of the project Manage inventory of hardware and software Perform and check backups

In order to be successful in your application for the IT Technician position, you should have:

Excellent proficiency in IT, including hardware configuration and diagnostics, network management, system implementation and control, system security and risk management Enthusiasm, drive and a proactive attitude to cope with the many demands placed on this busy department Outstanding customer care Excellent communication skills, able to work well within a small team and establish good working relationships with all users The ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload effectively Be capable of showing initiative, including the ability to think ahead and work flexibly A willingness to learn and develop as technology and best practice evolves *Good to excellent knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure/Entra ID/Office 365 platform,
