Job Overview: This top tier Construction business is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Technician to join their team.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting the organisation's IT systems, including hardware, software, network infrastructure, and meeting room technology. You will also act as a point of contact for IT-related support requests, ensuring that all technology systems are running efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

Provide day-to-day technical support for end users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. Respond to IT support requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring high levels of user satisfaction. Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and printers. Network and Server Support:

Support network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless systems. Assist in server management, including Windows Server and Active Directory tasks such as user account creation and password resets. Monitor and ensure the availability of network and internet connectivity across the organisation. Meeting Room IT Management:

Manage and maintain IT equipment for meeting rooms, including audio-visual systems, projectors, and conferencing equipment. Ensure all meeting room technology is functional, easily accessible, and provides an efficient experience for users. Hardware and Software Maintenance:

Install, update, and configure software applications and operating systems across devices. Perform hardware upgrades and repairs, ensuring devices are in good working condition. Assist in software deployment and configuration using management tools. Mobile Device Management (MDM):

Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of mobile devices (phones, tablets, etc.) for employees. Manage mobile device provisioning, updates, and security policies. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of IT support tickets, incidents, and resolutions. Assist with the documentation of IT procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations. Security and Compliance:

Ensure adherence to company policies related to data protection, cybersecurity, and IT security. Assist in the implementation of security protocols and updates on systems, software, and devices. Other Duties:

Provide general IT assistance and ad hoc support to the organisation as needed. Participate in IT-related projects to improve the organisation's infrastructure. Skills & Experience Required: Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of

Microsoft Windows operating systems

(Windows 10/11, Windows Server). Familiarity with

networking concepts

(TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN). Experience with basic

hardware repairs

(PCs, laptops, printers, etc.). Knowledge of

audio-visual systems

and meeting room technology. Understanding of

mobile device management

(MDM) and experience with provisioning and supporting mobile devices. Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting:

Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and with minimal disruption to users. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Communication:

Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users. Ability to work collaboratively with teams across departments and levels within the organisation. Experience:

Previous experience in an IT support or IT technician role, ideally within a corporate or similar environment. Experience with

Active Directory ,

Group Policies , and basic server management is a plus. Certifications (Preferred):

CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification. Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administration or similar certification. Personal Attributes:

Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to go the extra mile to resolve issues. Proactive and self-motivated, with a desire to learn and grow within the role.
