Our client is looking for an experienced IT Technician. Serving as the first point of contact for IT support within their organisation. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Duties and Purpose of the role:

• Installing, configuring and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems. • Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues. • Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components. • Ensuring the security of client and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software. • Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices. • Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly. • Testing new hardware and software before full-scale installation. Essential Skills and Responsibilities: • Full Drivers License and own car; must be willing to use own car for work and get Business Insurance. • Knowledge of servers, Windows 2016/2019/2022, Windows Server Services & Configurations. • Knowledge of Windows/Mac OS systems and strong ability to diagnose and support clients. • Fault finding and fault diagnosing processes and ability to find the root cause problem. • Hyper V and other virtualisation solutions. • Networking and routers, configurations, WAN networks, Broadband Connection including FTTP, LTE, Point to Point & Fibre Leased Lines, networking devices. • Office 365 and Azure knowledge, hybrid setup and fully cloud-base. • Office 365 subscription knowledge and ability to determine best subscription for each scenario. • Antivirus, ransomware, EDR & security solutions. • Willing to adapt to our office environment, visiting customer sites in different industries and work effectively within the team. • Knowledge and exposure to setting up and maintaining VoIP systems, Domain Hosting – DNS and Web Hosting. • Adaptability to pickup Internal Administration such as creating Quotes, Purchase Orders and Job Sheets. Desirables: • CCTV configuration. • Cisco exposure. • Ubiquiti exposure. • Evidence of Microsoft/professional body certifications (Not essential). • Fibre cabling and planning. • Cat6 Data Cabling and planning. Candidate Requirements: • Must be clearly spoken with good written and spoken English/Math skills (Good attention to detail). • Must be reliable, smart and presentable at all times. • Polite and professional with Staff and Customers at all times. • Willing to learn and develop and progress within the company.
