An IT Test Team Leader, who will manage a team of test analysts, responsible for facilitating the review and validation of changes before introducing them onto the IT Services platforms. We are looking to build a testing function within IT Services to ensure that changes released onto the platform have a defined mechanism to facilitate robust and reliable delivery. You will assist the Application Systems Manager and IT Technical Services Manager in the successful delivery of technical change while coordinating the efforts of the IT Test Team with those of the IT Services engineering and development teams. You will remain close to the changes being validated within the team and work closely with other test analysts, ensuring that the quality of testing produced is completed to a high standard. A bespoke testing approach and appropriate tooling will be determined by the type of change being released, which could be configuration, code, or hardware-based in nature. This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy. Preferred skills and experience Strong team and project lead experience, with a proven background in testing and service quality. Ability to multitask and manage multiple streams of activity, shifting focus regularly. Ability to think in a high-pressure environment and react quickly to challenging situations. Proven experience of working with daily releases and a high output of development work. Commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work. Experience of preparing test documentation including test plans, test scripts, defect reports, and progress updates. Experience in testing ITSM tools and products. Knowledge of SASS, Rest, and API testing. Experience with test automation and environment management. Main Responsibilities Managing and supporting a team of test analysts. Applying active governance around quality, rules, standards, and processes within the team. Selecting and building appropriate testing tools and software. Defining a test methodology that successfully delivers change across the IT Services platforms with minimal service disruption. Engaging actively with work requirements of the team. Ensuring that priorities are understood and deadlines are met. Building and maintaining successful relationships within the IT Services development and engineering teams.
