We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 6 ITU Nurse to join our Critical Care team. The successful candidate will work within the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care. You will be expected to comply with the NMC code of Professional Conduct and demonstrate knowledge of Trust policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Develop advanced skills and specialist practice in the ITU/HDU setting. Provide complex care to patients with minimal supervision. Plan, implement, and evaluate quality initiatives and clinical competencies. Maintain accurate patient records and information systems. Facilitate and support change within the unit. Participate in research and evidence-based practice. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to meet patient needs. Act as a positive role model and mentor to junior staff and student nurses. Educational and Professional Development: Assist in the development and organization of educational programs. Commit to continuous learning and professional development. Maintain a personal and professional portfolio. Provide mentorship and support to junior staff and student nurses. Qualifications and Experience: Must have a valid, up to date registration with the NMC. Intensive Care modules (40 credits) incorporating assessment, intervention, and management of critically ill patients. Minimum of 12-18 months relevant Critical Care experience within the NHS.
