Java Developer focuses on maintain java-based legacy applications within a critical national system.

What the role involves

• Maintain Java-based legacy applications within a critical national system.
• Provide L3 support, troubleshooting issues and resolving incidents across application components.
• Maintain Java and PL/SQL applications, scripts and supporting services.
• Refactor existing code and contribute to automated test coverage.
• ODBC integrations and stored procedures.
• Supporting Elasticsearch components used within the application estate.

Skills and requirements

• A minimum of 2 years’ professional experience in Java & related technologies (preferably with Java SE 11+ or EJB/JSP).
• Experience in supporting legacy applications.
• Experience in basic integration work with auditing & protective monitoring services.

Confirmed role details

• Setup: Remote (Hybrid initially for travel required during knowledge transfer for 1st 3 months across different locations in England – on-call work may be required later in the con.
• Security Clearance: Must be holding active, unelapsed SC clearance.
• Interview Process: 1 Stage, MS Teams.
