To strengthen our team in Luxembourg, we are looking for a: Java/JEE Developer (m/f) FinCube is Orbium’s end-to-end solution for strategic analysis based on complete and quality-assured data. The heart of FinCube is a Financial Data Warehouse that automatically collects and validates data from different source systems across all departments. A key element of this Data Warehouse is a business-oriented data access layer that allows fast and direct access to the complete data universe for all business users. Your main responsibilities Work closely within the core team to build standardized software components for scalable applications. Quickly learn new technologies, frameworks, and languages, implement prototypes, and provide qualitative feedback about the various options and solutions. Be able to influence the product architecture at an early stage. Constantly improve existing parts and work on new challenging functionalities. Write and maintain efficient and reliable code within the Scrum framework. Participate in retrospectives to drive continuous improvement in agile teams. Work in our multi-disciplinary engineering team from diverse backgrounds. Your qualifications You have a university degree in Computer Science or related discipline and a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software development. You have strong Java skills, and if you already have experience with JEE, it is considered an asset. You are used to working with relational databases, and SQL is also part of your daily work. You know about object-oriented design patterns to develop loosely coupled and service-oriented components. You are creative, self-motivated, try things out on your own, and simply get things done. You have a good understanding of concepts, best practices, and patterns for high scalability, availability, and other relevant system qualities. Knowledge in the domain of the financial business is considered an asset. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory; German would be considered an advantage.
