Hours : Full Time, 37.5 hours per week Salary : £37,000 to £41,050 (dependent on experience) Location : London/hybrid Remote : £33,300 to £36,945 (dependent on experience) Contract : Permanent Working pattern : Our office is in Brixton, London. Our preference is for the candidate to be office based; we operate a hybrid working policy that requires two days weekly in the office. However, we may consider fully-remote working for the right candidate if based far from London. Job Purpose
This role will lead our work with our citizen panels, managing our Adult and Young Food Ambassadors. Our goal is to have a group of adults and young people who want to work with us to change the food system to ensure everyone can access a healthy and sustainable diet. All of our ambassadors have experience of living on a low income. The post-holder will be responsible for nurturing and supporting our Ambassadors, ensuring that the Food Foundation's evidence and recommendations for action are informed by their lived experience. The post-holder will be responsible for building our cohort of Ambassadors, particularly Adults, and will manage the recruitment, screening, and onboarding of new recruits. The post-holder will work with our communications team to increase the impact of our media and social media engagement by giving opportunities to Ambassadors to explain the reality of the food system’s impact through their personal stories. The post-holder will also work with our business and policy engagement teams to create opportunities for our Ambassadors to provide advice on priorities for our research, the development of policy, and practice recommendations. They will be responsible for the development of strategic thinking on our work with citizens as well as being the safeguarding lead for the organisation. This is both a challenging and interesting role that gives the post-holder the opportunity to work alongside experts and a highly influential team within the charity and food sectors. Strategy Lead on the creation, implementation, and monitoring of the citizen engagement strategy.
