What you will do Johnson Controls offers the largest portfolio of equipment, controls, and services for heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, and security systems. As an Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation of split, multi-split, VRV/VRF, and DX systems at customer sites. You will maintain relationships with our clients, demonstrating good self-management, communication, and interpersonal skills to meet customer needs. In this role, you will attend various client sites, supporting several projects, and carry out the installation and commissioning of air-conditioning units and commercial refrigeration systems. How you will do it You will be part of the VRF Installation Team, accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget, and in a professional manner. It is crucial to adhere to all company and legal requirements, including complying with Risk Assessments and Method Statements. Health & Safety is extremely important, ensuring compliance with all legislation. You will be responsible for the installation of HVAC equipment and pipework on customer sites within a set timeframe and according to a defined process. You may be required to support various projects and work away from home from time to time. What we look for • Proven experience in full installation of HVAC systems including pipework, bracketry, and cabling. • Experience with major manufacturers such as Daikin, Hitachi, Mitsubishi Electric, and Airedale. • Knowledge of DX, Split VRF/VRV systems, AHUs, and ventilation plant. • Experience in commissioning HVAC equipment. • Ability to understand and analyze relevant technical documents such as electrical schemes, fluid schemes, and piping diagrams. • A full UK driving license. • IT skills – ability to record details in the LD-Control platform (iPad). • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team. Preferred but not Essential • NVQ level 3 in Refrigeration or Air Conditioning.
