Due to retirement, you will need to demonstrate a strong background in wills, probate, and estate planning, able to handle your own diverse caseloads, with a passion for delivering high-quality legal advice and support to clients. You will be a confident, proactive, and structured individual experienced in a broad range of matters, including: Preparing lasting powers of attorney, including registration of EPAs and LPAs. Preparing deputyship orders. Preparation of Wills, including those utilizing trusts for complex family situations. Advising on risks of death, divorce, or bankruptcy in respect of lifetime gifting. Advising on obtaining grants of probate. Advising on letters of administration. Settling estate liabilities. Administration of taxable and non-taxable estates. Court of Protection practice. Trust Administration. Additionally, you will: Ensure matters are up to date in systems and communicate new advancements to relevant team members. Record all time in the system, including non-billable activities. Take responsibility for managing the client experience and attend client meetings where necessary. Take a keen interest in business development for the department and contribute where required. Membership in STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) is an advantage.
