Junior Accountant General Ledger

to join our clients manufacturing team based in the Baglan area.

Salary:

Up to 35,000p.a depending on experience Hours work:

37.5 hours per week: Monday to Friday: 8:30am- 4:30pm Contract:

Permanent

Main Responsibilities:

Executes the ongoing accounting transactions in fixed assets and general ledger accounting including closing bookings. Manages and reconciles the general and subledger accounts. Prepares the monthly payment proposal. Prepares and posts journal entries into Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet. Contributes to the timely preparation and reporting of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to local and reporting GAAP as well as internal procedures. Performs the necessary activities to support the preparation of reports to authorities/offices, such as summary reports, Intrastat, and other statistics reports. Prepares the intercompany reconciliation reports. Supports the Line Manager in drafting the transfer pricing documentation. Assists the line manager in the preparation of the required documentation such as Notes and Management Report for the periodical Financial Statements. Contributes to answering accounting and financial questions by researching, analysing, and interpreting data. Conducts training sessions for the tasks assigned if requested. Archives the accounting documentation. Promotes a safety-bound corporate culture. Applies the Corporate Principles and Values.

Candidate Requirements:

The position is a good opportunity for a graduate or someone looking to advance. Proficient at using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to prioritise and problem-solve. Previous experience working in a team. Our client is willing to support the successful candidate in completing a CIMA/ACCA qualification after successful completion of the probationary period.

Candidates who have the following will be at an advantage:

Experience of using SAP systems. Previous experience in the manufacturing industry. International business knowledge.

DBS checks will also be carried out and the client has a NO conviction policy.
