Overview We are seeking a young CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be familiar with 3D SolidWorks software and prepared to learn our products to be able to create detailed models. This role is essential in supporting our commercial and manufacturing teams. The successful applicant will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of engineering principles. Duties Develop and prepare detailed drawings, schematics, and models using CAD software such as SolidWorks. Collaborate with customer and sales department to understand project requirements and specifications. Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders. Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations and standards. Maintain accurate records of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation. Participate in design meetings to discuss project progress and address any issues that arise. Work with our Engineering Manager to learn the acoustic product range. Qualifications Proficiency in CAD software including SolidWorks; knowledge of nesting software such as Radan is useful but not essential. Strong understanding of engineering principles and building design processes. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; recent graduates are encouraged to apply. A relevant qualification in engineering or architecture would be beneficial.
