We are looking for

Junior Customer Support Engineer

to be based from our Snetterton, Norwich site (NR16 2JU).

This is a Trainee Photocopier Engineer role. You will be initially based in the workshop to learn about the products and then go on accompanied customer site visits with our Engineers and Delivery Drivers. You will be supporting the field service operation by preparing and delivering new equipment (photocopiers), refurbishing second-hand equipment, and repairing customer’s equipment where there is a problem or a fault.

This is a great career opportunity to take the first step on the road to becoming a fully trained photocopier engineer. We are looking for an individual with IT skills, practical technical ability, a helpful attitude, and eagerness to learn and progress.

Locally based candidates with a full driving license and their own transport for getting to the Snetterton site are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in attending requests to repair, install, and maintain multi-functional network devices (MFDs) and other products, including software, supplied by Sharp and our dealers. Support in refurbishing second-hand MFDs/products. Liaise with other team members. Support the field-based team both onsite and in the workshop. Attend training courses as required. Ensure all paperwork is completed and the system is updated upon completion of tasks. Perform ad hoc tasks to assist the operation of logistics and service support. Manage stock as appropriate.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications: Competent with IT, i.e., Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with simple software installations would be very helpful. Technical aptitude for setting up and repairing equipment to the factory’s specification. Analytical problem-solving approach to electromechanical faults. Able to demonstrate manual dexterity when using tools. Good communication skills. Demonstrates an enthusiastic and 'can do' approach. Attention to detail, takes personal pride in all work produced. Be able to work as part of a team and unsupervised. Good attitude, keen to learn and progress. Able to manage time effectively.
