The Team: As an Associate Data Engineer in Simon’s Data Engineering Team, your primary mission will be to contribute to the delivery and enhancement of Zopa's analytical data platform. The team ensures that the right data is available at the right time, with the right quality, to support business decision-making, lending processes, and reporting on business performance. The role will give you an opportunity to work with a variety of data sources, ensuring they are piped into the platform reliably and efficiently. The team is responsible for building data pipelines, and they play a key role in supporting daily analytical processes, ad hoc analytics, regulatory reporting, and data-driven decisioning. The Role: This associate-level role offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills in data engineering and gain hands-on experience with industry-leading tools and technologies. You will play a vital role in building and improving data pipelines, working closely with senior team members and gaining exposure to various parts of the business, such as lending, analytics, and business performance. Your day-to-day responsibilities will focus on developing well-tested, high-quality data pipelines. You will also have the chance to gain hands-on experience in provisioning infrastructure and work on significant tech projects within the company. This is an excellent role for someone eager to learn and contribute to a data-driven business in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. About You:

Experience with Python programming Familiarity with software engineering principles Desire to grow and progress in a data engineering career Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with others Added Bonus:

Proficiency in SQL Experience with related AWS data services (e.g. Glue, Managed Airflow, Redshift, Athena, DMS, etc) Familiarity with Python frameworks such as PySpark and Pandas Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform Experience with CI/CD tools
