Junior Data Technician

Due to expansion, they are looking for a Junior Data Technician to provide technical and operational support to the Syndicate Underwriting teams through the analysis and processing of key policy data. The successful Data Technician will contribute to the continued enhancement of policy data quality for all Syndicate Underwriting Teams by identifying areas for improvement through analysis of relevant MI and collaboration with key stakeholders. Junior Data Technician Duties: Provide regular MI reporting to key stakeholders that facilitates accurate outstanding premium monitoring. For the Syndicate platform, assist the Operations and Underwriting teams in processing bureau market messaging data that enables the accurate monitoring of outstanding premiums. Support the credit control process through data review and query resolution within the Policy Admin System. Contribute to the reconciliation of premium settlements to written premium records. Work with the Syndicate Underwriting Teams and other stakeholders to monitor data quality and identify and implement data quality improvements. Support Finance and the underwriting teams in undertaking tasks that assist with the monthly close process. Junior Data Technician - Our Ideal Candidate Will Have: Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organisational skills. Good Excel and Office 365 skills. Some working experience in the Lloyd's insurance market is required, and an understanding of bureau messaging is preferred. An understanding of Syndicate underwriting models and reporting is preferred. Progressing towards professional insurance qualification, e.g., CII.
