Job Description: As a Junior Delivery Surveyor at InoRail, you will support the execution of various land and rail surveys. This role is predominantly office-based, focusing on data processing, report preparation, and supporting senior surveyors. However, there will be opportunities for site-based overtime on weekends, offering you a chance to gain hands-on field experience and earn additional income. This position is perfect for those looking to kickstart their career in the surveying industry with a focus on rail infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Survey Assistance:

Support senior surveyors in conducting a range of land and rail surveys, ensuring adherence to industry and safety standards.

Data Collection & Handling:

Assist in collecting accurate survey data using advanced equipment and techniques and contribute to its organization and preliminary analysis.

Control Grids & Post-Processing:

Learn and apply basic control grid principles and post-processing techniques, developing proficiency in software such as N4ce or equivalent.

Technical Support:

Provide support in office settings and occasionally on-site for various survey methods, including Structure Gauging, Large Scale Topographic Surveys, Setting Out, Precision Levelling, and Laser Scanning surveys.

Compliance & Standards:

Gain familiarity with Network Rail standards and other relevant industry regulations to ensure compliance in all survey activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proficiency in Geospatial Technology:

Basic understanding and willingness to develop skills in geospatial technology relevant to surveying.

Familiarity with Industry Standards:

Some knowledge or interest in learning Network Rail standards and related industry regulations.

Control Grids & Post-Processing:

Awareness of control grids and a basic understanding of post-processing techniques.

Software Proficiency:

Basic proficiency or the ability to learn N4ce or similar survey processing software.

Survey Methods Knowledge:

Foundational understanding of various survey methods, both in-office and on-site, including but not limited to Structure Gauging, Large Scale Topographic Surveys, Setting Out, Precision Levelling, and Laser Scanning surveys.

Teamwork & Communication:

Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and clients.
