- Brilliant training provided in an environment full of entry level/graduate developers Location - Milton Keynes- Infrastructure This role will see you gain exposure to all parts of the development cycle and you will have the opportunity to take your career with the business in a number of directions. The average length of service across the business shows they have the right environment to offer both skills and career development. This opportunity is ideal for any grads or entry level candidates looking for their first break into development. The business is full of like minded developers allowing for a welcoming working work-space that genuinely promotes learning and personal development. All we ask is that you have a passion for programming and general development and can demonstrate through a well put together CV that you can go through a steep learning curve. Clearly we are looking for graduates who can demonstrate a background and strong hands-on knowledge of programming. We are open to all development backgrounds but C# and Java or any other OO language coupled with some good knowledge in RDBMS would be appropriate. It is important that you can demonstrate you passion for developing by giving good examples of Projects (either personal or academic) where you have taken initiative and understand the practical applications of your education. This is an award winning business with 20+ years stable industry growth who have a reputation for training and supporting inexperienced developers. Their business is defined by the fact that they grow their own talented development teams from recent graduates. The technical environment is very broad covering older technologies such as Cobol right the way through to newer languages such as Java and C#. Although the company is still enhancing and maintaining their live COBOL/C# product, they are now actively working on a web based HTML5/C# product, which is a long term project. So most of this year’s new recruits have gone straight onto the new product. This would almost certainly be the case with any new graduate recruits. A good understanding of C# and/or Java is preferable, as is the use of SQL queries. A logic reasoning test is a fundamental part of our recruitment process so clearly those skills are going to be of paramount importance.
