Full time. Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. As this is field based these hours can vary slightly and you need to be flexible (you get paid time and half for any hours worked before 8am and after 5pm; travel time is included). Company Overview:
Here at The Recruitment Co, we are recruiting an experienced Junior Engineer to work for a business based in the UK. The role involves installing and maintaining machines across various clients and locations throughout the UK, mainly covering Leicestershire up to Leeds. Main Job Responsibilities: Installation and repair of Salvagnini Machine Tools (Panel Benders, Fiber Lasers, Punch shear systems). Preventative maintenance checks of contracted machines. Liaise with the spares department for ordering and delivery of required spare parts. Generate detailed service reports for customer and internal logging. Field based with UK travel and some overseas travel (preferably based in the North - ideally Leeds/Leicester area). Required Experience: Ideally have CNC sheet metal working machine tool service experience (not just maintenance), preferably with CNC Laser, Punch, or Press Brake knowledge/experience/qualifications. Ideally possess an electrical/electronics qualification (minimum HNC) or have completed an apprenticeship in electromechanical engineering (experience with Pilz systems preferred). Be computer literate with knowledge of networking considered an advantage. Experience in bus systems (e.g., Profibus, Canbus - Beckhoff). Experience with servo drives (Siemens, Kollmorgen, or Moog). Capable of working to close mechanical tolerances. Capable of working under pressure. Proficient in interpersonal skills. Prepared to spend nights away from home.
