We are looking for a junior environmental engineer or scientist who is passionate about creating positive change and wants to join a company that values its employees.

Responsibilities

Job requires approximately 50 percent of time is spent outdoors on jobsites, in all types of weather.

Soil, groundwater, surface water and sediment sampling and monitoring using various methods with handheld and automatic instrumentation.

Oversight and direction of contractors and subcontractors.

Observing and logging boreholes and the installation of monitoring wells.

Remediation monitoring and documentation.

Field equipment maintenance and inventory.

Conducting Building Condition Assessments (BCAs).

Conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).

Reporting to project co-ordinators, managers and clients.

Report writing and data interpretation and analysis.

Job includes periodic out-of-town travel using personal vehicle, with mileage reimbursement.

About You and Your Qualifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities.

A graduate of a recognized engineering or science program eligible for P.Eng. or P.Geo.

Knowledge of Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.

Understanding of hydrogeological processes and soil structures and some working knowledge of analytical chemistry.

Experience with Microsoft Office – Word and Excel.
