Job Description

As an Information Security Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring operational security within the region and each laboratory in your scope. You will be part of the Regional IT Security Office for multiple European businesses in the Eurofins network (AgroScience, BioPharma Services, Invitro Diagnostics, Consumer Product Testing Europe). The scope includes:

Approvals:

Approve sensitive access and firewall rules. Reviews:

Recertify accesses, firewall rules, etc. Review the existing configuration (AD, Intune, Office 365, Azure, etc.) to ensure that it is in line with expectations and security best-practices. Change:

Review and approve any change to the IT infrastructure. Testing:

Perform vulnerability scans at Regional and laboratory level and ensure that remediation is done. Work with Group Security to organise penetration testing when needed. Incidents:

Assist in the investigation of security breaches and security intelligence reported by Group SOC. Advisory:

Work with newly acquired laboratories to improve their security posture based on an internal list of mandatory security improvements and with the support of a Senior Security Analyst, and review the security level of applications (developed in-house or externally) and advise on security improvements. Reporting:

Support the build-up of operational security KPIs and recommend improvements. Due to the highly sensitive nature of the work, applicants should note that security clearance is required for this role. To gain security clearance you must have five years continuous residency in the UK. Security clearance is undertaken by a third party to police personnel vetting standards (NPPV/3 and SC), as such any criminal convictions may prevent you from gaining security clearance. Personal skills:

We are looking for an autonomous and adaptable quick learner who will feel at ease managing multiple priorities, ambiguity, and a rapidly moving business environment. If you are attentive to details, have a problem-solving approach and like to work with large, complex IT environments, we want to hear from you. Education:

If you have expertise in information security (cloud security, vulnerability assessment, etc.), general IT concepts (Active Directory, Office 365, Cloud, systems administration) and knowledge of modern networking (micro-segmentation, hyperconvergence), this position will be a great opportunity for you. A Master’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Computer Science or Information technology systems security or a related field, is preferred, although profiles who built their career path through open-source projects, bug bounties, bootcamps, etc. are welcome to apply as long as they can demonstrate the other qualifications above. Certifications in Cybersecurity will be a plus. Experience:

1-3 years’ experience in performing roles in Information Security, Cybersecurity or Information Technology. Additional Information
