Headland is a digital design team based in Leeds city centre delivering excellent solutions to technical design and build briefs for an enviable client list.

With over twenty years’ experience in the industry we have a reputation for outstanding solutions and an uncommon level of technical expertise.

We are looking to recruit a committed Junior .NET Developer to our team, who has experience in .net either commercially or on personal projects and is eager to learn and contribute fully to the Headland team ethic.

About the role:

You will be supporting our senior developers by being involved in every part of the process, from the build planning stages to building sections and modules of sites, coding integrations with third party services and integrating with our back-end SQL databases. All with the help and guidance of the rest of the team.

Experience within the commercial industry is not the deciding factor in appointing the successful candidate; proven skills, a passion for web development, a communicable character and an appetite to learn from senior developers are a major consideration for us.

Required Skills:

Proven C#, MVC and ASP.NET skills (either commercially or personal projects)

Microsoft SQL Server skills including database design and stored procedure development would be a serious advantage, along with an understanding of CSS, responsive HTML and standard JavaScript libraries

Integration with SOAP and/or Restful API’s (Json/XML)

Skills in Umbraco would be a serious advantage as it’s our Content Management System of choice

Proficient in the use of Visual Studio as a development tool (whether commercially or using the community edition on personal projects)

Personal skills:

Ability to think creatively and suggest alternative web application solutions.

The commitment to complete projects on a timely basis with minimal supervision.

Be a Team Player most of the time yet have the ability to work on own initiative when needed.

Strong verbal and written communications skills.

A love of the web in general along with the internet services, frameworks and databases that make the magic happen.
