Junior Quantity Surveyor - London

Overview We are seeking a London-based Junior Quantity Surveyor with 2-3 years of UK experience and a strong understanding of JCT contracts to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project costs, ensuring financial aspects of construction projects are controlled and monitored. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents. Conduct cost analysis and recommend cost control measures throughout the project. Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial constraints. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate cost assessments and timely project delivery. Prepare tender documents and assist in evaluating bids from contractors. Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify potential cost-related issues. Maintain comprehensive financial records for all project transactions. Provide regular financial reports to management and stakeholders.
Requirements Degree in Quantity Surveying (Essential) 2-3 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the UK construction industry (Essential) Familiarity with JCT contracts (Essential) Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail Proficiency in cost estimation and project management software Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
