Part time
Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us as a Band 6 Neonatal Nurse on our busy Level 2 Unit. Full or part time hours would be considered.

The 28 cot unit consists of 12 ITU/HDU, 16 Special Care and 4 Transitional Care cots. The unit has a collaborative approach to care with good working relationships within the multi-disciplinary team and is lucky to be housed in a modern purpose built Women's Centre with excellent facilities for both staff and families. We practice Family Integrated Care and have special interest groups for Infant Feeding, Developmental Care and Palliative Care. HOPE and SHED parent support groups are well embedded on the unit.

Main duties of the job

As an experienced member of the neonatal team, you will be responsible for the delivery of high quality, evidence-based care to babies and their families. You will need to have a relevant neonatal qualification and recent experience. Leadership experience would be useful but not essential as full support and training will be given.

About us

All new staff are offered a 6-8 week supernumerary induction programme and assigned named mentors. Ongoing, continuous, professional development is an expectation of all Unit staff.

Opportunities to undertake Quality Improvement training and projects are available to all staff. Recent projects undertaken by staff have included the introduction of Family Integrated Care and implementing ACE awareness to reduce risk to babies and promote resilience in families.
