A rare opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual with a cardiology background to join our team in the Cardiac and Stroke Receiving Unit (CSRU) at Wycombe for a 12 month secondment role.
CSRU was established in 2012 as a specialist unit providing emergency care to people with cardiac and stroke symptoms. The service offers 24hr admission, assessment and treatment for a wide range of conditions, and we also offer a Monday to Friday PPCI service to the people living in the county of Buckinghamshire and a Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy service 24/7.
Main duties of the job
Within this role, the successful applicant will coordinate the shift, support the junior staff, and provide expert knowledge where needed. Part of their daily responsibilities will also involve working in a supportive role alongside the stroke nurses, ensuring that we deliver the highest possible care to all service users. Running and coordinating a busy 8 bed unit for the region involving stroke and cardiac, working with a full multi-disciplinary approach. About us
