Responsible for the assessment of clients both adult and paediatric entering the Emergency Department, prioritisation of treatment, delivery of care and evaluation. The post holder is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision and required to demonstrate procedures and to supervise qualified and/or unqualified staff. Experience
Post-registration experience; at least 2 years within an Emergency Department Registered Nurse Intravenous accreditation Specialist ED or critical care course ILS/ALS/APLS or Equivalent Experience of contributing to research and audit programmes ATNC / TNCC or equivalent Skills
Ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload and workload of others Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care Effective use of research and implementation of evidence-based practice National Curriculum and Competency Framework Emergency Nursing (Level 2) Governance
Understanding of clinical governance and risk assessment Clear understanding of safeguarding procedures The ability to converse easily and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for all customer facing roles.
