There is an exciting opportunity for a permanent Junior Sister position within the Children's Emergency Department at the Royal Stoke. The Royal Stoke Emergency Department is a major Trauma Centre and sees in excess of 420 patients a day. Main duties of the job
The successful candidate must show a passion for emergency medicine, have worked within a Children's Emergency department for more than 5 years, and have held a substantive clinical senior staff nurse role for more than 1 year. They need to be able to work under extreme pressures and ensure the quality and safety of our patients. They will be expected to assist in managing the department on a shift-by-shift basis and also have some experience in managing staff and working alongside the senior team. Advanced Paediatric Life Support, leadership, supporting others' development, and continued learning are all qualities that would be required within this role. About us

5 years minimum ED experience Evidence of leadership
In excess of 12 months senior staff nurse within the ED Undertaken leadership qualification Clinically credible
Has evidence of running departmental areas and trauma experience Has passed a nationally accredited trauma qualification. Has proven degree or masters
