This position is part of the Aerodynamic Toolset Development and Modelling Team, where the primary responsibility involves coordinating and advancing engineering toolsets and models specific to aerodynamics. The focus is on developing MATLAB/Simulink-based toolsets within established governance frameworks and best practices. What the role of the Junior Software Development Engineer entails: Develop new Aerodynamics Engineering toolsets, including planning and reporting on progress of new toolset releases. Liaising and working with Aerodynamic Discipline Teams and Projects to collate and harmonise requirements and future developments to provide a common engineering toolset. Develop future initiatives to align with Digital Engineering framework and MBSE. Promote and support the toolsets with the Aerodynamic Engineering Community. What experience you need to be the successful Junior Software Development Engineer: Experience of software development, methods, practices and version control systems. Experience of MATLAB/Simulink toolset. Experience of working with teams coordinating and integrating requirements. Knowledge of Linux systems and other software languages such as Python and Java would be beneficial. A logical thinker, problem solver, and an eye for detail. Good teamworking, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to obtain UK SC Security Clearance - British Passport holders.
