We have an opening for a Junior to Mid Level Geo-Environmental Engineer for our West of England office, new West Midlands and busy Milton Keynes offices, with scope for hybrid working. PGE are a busy, friendly geo-environmental, geotechnical and site investigation company operating on varying size projects across the south of England, Wales and the Midlands for a range of clients from house builders to commercial businesses and mineral extraction, allowing our staff to gather a breadth of knowledge in a short space of time. The role offers excellent development opportunities. The candidate would work under supervision by a Senior Engineer as their line Manager and would be mentored and reassured by more senior staff as required, but would be expected to be predominantly self-sufficient with good time management and motivation. Responsibilities Carrying out Site Contamination Assessments from Stage 1 Tier 1 to Stage 3. Carrying out Site Investigation for geotechnical appraisal, infiltration testing and combined investigations using all common techniques. Monitoring of ground gases and groundwater. Scheduling contamination, waste classification and geotechnical laboratory testing. Suitable level of report writing (factual and interpretative) depending upon candidate and mentoring to allow improvement and progression in reporting. Site management. Self-motivation and time management. Full clean driving license. An understanding of ground investigation techniques, limitations and outcomes is required as is good time management and self-motivation. Qualifications The candidate would be degree qualified in a relevant field (preferred Geology), with a related Masters Degree being advantageous. The candidate must have experience specializing in Ground Investigation and geo-environmental and geotechnical consultancy, with greater than 2 years experience being ideal. The ideal candidate would have a good HSEQ record and ideally have an HSEQ qualification. The suitable candidate would be offered a very competitive salary package, including vehicle, salary sacrifice options, pension plus a retention bonus after the first 6 months. Seniority level
