Manufacture new tooling and ancillary spares to support production activity. Responsible for the repair, maintenance, and improvement of press tools and mould tools. Evaluate repair jobs to determine the extent of work required to return tools to production. Plan and organize your work efficiently to meet the needs of the Toolroom and the overall business, ensuring costs are kept within budget and key dates are achieved. Operate manual mills, grinders, and lathes for the creation and repair of tooling. Use calibrated measuring equipment and interpret Engineering Tool drawings. Comply with all current working instructions and procedures within the business. Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations while carrying out your duties. Work effectively with the wider engineering and production teams to ensure timely delivery of tooling to support production. Qualifications & Requirements Toolmaker
Proven experience as a Toolmaker in the injection moulding or similar manufacturing environment. Strong experience with press tools, mould tools, and ancillary tooling. Proficient in operating manual mills, grinders, and lathes. Knowledge of calibrated measuring equipment and the ability to read and understand Engineering Tool drawings. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
