KENNEL/DOGGY DAYCARE ASSISTANT Part time (16-20 hours) We have the amazing opportunity for a new member to join our team in our expanding 5 star licensed kennels based in Upholland! Previous experience either in daycare, kennels, or rescues is ideal as we are looking for candidates who are able to start as soon as possible, but we will provide on-the-job training! Candidates must be confident working with dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes. It can be a physically demanding job with a lot of lifting and bending, and you will be on your feet constantly throughout the day. There is a lot of cleaning involved, but you will also be rewarded with lots of playtime with the dogs! We also walk our dogs outside in our fields, so being comfortable working in all weathers is a must. Requirements for the role: Engagement and playing with dogs, including conducting enrichment activities. Dog behaviour knowledge and skills including understanding basic body language. Be an active team player and willing to help out in all areas of the business including our kennels, cattery, and grooming salon. Making sure the dogs are always kept in a clean environment, picking up after the dogs, mopping floors, and cleaning walls. General housekeeping such as laundry. Good communication skills as checking dogs in and out and taking payment is part of the role. We are looking for somebody who most importantly loves dogs, has a motivated attitude to work, holds high hygiene standards, and enjoys working as part of a team! MUST have reliable means of transport to get to us, ideally own car and driving license. Free on-site parking and opportunity to bring your dog to daycare when working free of charge, as well as staff discounts to other services we offer! Shifts will be between 7.30am-6pm Monday - Friday and some weekend work!
