HAYS is currently recruiting a Knowledge and Information Management Lead Specialist to support our public sector client. Your new role You will be working within a Data Team that is responsible for the organisation's approach to data. The organisation is data-enabled, not data-driven. They work closely with engineers, product managers and other disciplines to understand how data can best support the needs of the organisation. In this role, you will apply your expert knowledge of information management principles and systems, including Microsoft Purview, CoPilot, and SharePoint, to effectively manage and share the organisation's information assets. You will ensure compliance with relevant legislation, certifications, and standards, and set the direction for knowledge and information management within the organisation, aligning with policies and goals.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Information Management Compliance Change Management Information Governance Policy Development Team Leadership

What you'll need to succeed Essential: In-depth understanding of various knowledge management systems, including Microsoft Purview, CoPilot, and SharePoint. Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation and standards, including the Data Protection Act, GDPR, and ISO27001. Expert understanding of information lifecycle management principles and practices. Strong awareness of legal and ethical considerations in information management. Experience of managing and leading in a technical environment to solve problems related to role-based access, security classification, and data retention. Desirable: Data Governance experience Relational database management skills Previous experience working either with public or financial sector organisations What you'll get in return Hybrid working in Brighton (1-2 days a week in the office) Salary £55,000-60,000 Per Year 25 days of annual leave Flexible working Civil Service Pension arrangements
