Venue:

The Kia Oval is an international cricket ground in Kennington, in the London Borough of Lambeth, South London. The Oval has been the home ground of Surrey County Cricket Club since it was opened in 1845. The final Test match of the English summer is traditionally played there.

Key Responsibilities: To ensure the smooth planning and delivery of a first-class service to the internal customer base and all customers within the venue. Carrying out all general administrative tasks & organise the day-to-day running of the Chefs office. Ensure that all tasks are completed in line with company procedures and policies. To assist the team to deliver highest culinary standards. Assist chefs to accurately input the stock take & maintain the stock take system. Support with daily orders using the internal procurement system to ensure kitchen supplies are maintained. Building recipe cards for both costing purposes & photo specs. Maintaining goods receipt file to ensure deliveries match purchase. Efficiently receive and log daily incoming orders, ensuring accuracy and timely recording. Raise and log daily invoices, maintaining organized financial records. Handle all stationery orders to keep the kitchen adequately stocked with necessary materials. Maintain clear communication with kitchen office team to coordinate duties and responsibilities. Assist the Executive Chef and Kitchen Compliance Manager with various general duties as needed, ensuring smooth kitchen operations. Ensure all necessary documents and records are kept accurate and up to date. To assist with event day documentation by deadline, including Event Information Packs for relevant areas. To produce all documentation required to create accurate allergen information for all food served, including additional guest information.

Health & Safety: To maintain H&S compliance and get involved with H&S meetings. Work with onsite HSE champion to ensure Silver and Gold standards are delivered and maintained in your area of business. To ensure H&S training is completed in accordance with legal and company requirements. To personally demonstrate that you take responsibility for your own health and safety and that of others.

Quality: Good working knowledge of basic food hygiene. To provide, where applicable support to other team members within your location. To ensure that clothing, including footwear and personal hygiene is always of the highest standards. To treat all staff, customers and clients in a polite and professional manner.

Person Specification: Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. A passion for food and quality of service. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer literate and confident in MS Excel; Word and Outlook. Great team player. Ability to work to strict pressured deadlines. Motivated by a passion for quality and great service delivery. A “can-do” attitude.

Desirable: Venue knowledge. Events experience. At least 6 months similar experience gained in a dynamic environment.
