Position Overview This is an office-based job within the Sidcup head office requiring attendance in person. As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed, accurate, and innovative designs for both custom cabinetry and standard layouts using cabinet models from a library. Using AutoCAD software, you will work closely with clients, project managers, and production teams to translate design concepts into actionable plans, ensuring that all designs meet the highest standards of quality and functionality. This role requires both technical expertise and the ability to bring concepts to life while considering spatial constraints and material options. Key Responsibilities Oversee the creation of detailed 2D and 3D CAD models for new Cabinet space planning layouts, ensuring designs align with client specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and industry standards. Ensure all CAD designs are accurate, meet project timelines, and adhere to the highest quality standards. Project Coordination Manage multiple design projects, from concept to production-ready, ensuring all deadlines and budget constraints are met. Coordinate with project managers to ensure that designs are aligned with client requirements and production schedules. Troubleshoot any technical challenges during the design or production processes, working closely with the team to find effective solutions. Process Improvement & Innovation Lead efforts to streamline CAD design workflows and improve processes, focusing on enhancing efficiency and design quality. Identify areas for innovation, particularly in the use of sustainable materials and design practices. Collaboration & Communication Act as a key point of contact between the CAD design team and other departments, including sales, production, and procurement. Ensure smooth communication between all stakeholders, ensuring that any design changes are communicated promptly and accurately. Qualification & Skills Education:

Certification in CAD software or design techniques is a plus. Experience:

4+ years of experience in CAD design within the Cabinet manufacturing design industry, with a strong portfolio of work. Proven experience as a leading designer with the ability to conduct client-facing design review meetings, clearly articulating reasons behind your designs. Deep understanding of cabinet manufacturing, furniture design, material properties, and the installation process. Technical Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD software is key. Understanding alternative programs such as CADCAM, Cabinet Vision, SolidWorks, Rhino, SketchUp, or similar would be beneficial. Knowledge of 2D & 3D modeling and rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, KeyShot) is desirable. Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Attention to Detail:

Exceptional attention to detail with a passion for producing high-quality, accurate designs. Ability to anticipate design challenges and implement solutions proactively. Creativity & Problem-Solving:
