KYC Officer – Investments | London, UK

Director Board, Senior Interim, Digital Assets – Banking & FS, Consulting Excellent opportunity with expanding Investments business with $20 Billion in patient capital that are looking to grow their compliance team. Due to this growth, there is now a need to hire a driven, forward-thinking KYC Officer who will push tasks through to completion. Role Overview: Report into and work very closely with charismatic Senior Compliance Officer. The successful candidate will take responsibility for KYC/AML, Financial crime and records management and will ideally have an excellent understanding of law in multiple jurisdictions. Candidates with a legal degree, ideally from a Big Four or Corporate Service Provider background, would be beneficial. Ensure the timely handling of third-party onboarding checks. Play an important role in the company adherence to applicable financial crime, AML law, regulations and internal policies. Qualifications & Skills required: University Degree educated (ideally in Law). Five years working experience in a similar position within the KYC team of a Financial Services Company or AML consulting at the Big Four. Good knowledge of AML regulations in multiple jurisdictions and ability to negotiate with financial services companies on the KYC requirements. Good knowledge of corporate governance and structures, with the ability to research corporate structures and establish ultimate beneficial ownership. Good knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
