Advance Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship at Level 3 . This will include college work and assignments to complete alongside a detailed portfolio. It’s very important that you are willing to complete all your course work diligently on time and meet deadlines while working in the role. You will work in the laboratory department at Springfields, learning how the team collaborates with other production areas, gaining an understanding of the requirements of our internal and external stakeholders. This will enable you to gain knowledge on how we analyze samples and collect and share data with other teams. We will support you each step of the way, ensuring you have the right resources to succeed. This will involve working with departments in Westinghouse - Springfields on site at Salwick, Nr Preston. You will also have the opportunity to apply for roles with Springfields - Westinghouse that are available towards the end of your apprenticeship programme. What Else Will I Learn? Along with gaining practical experience in laboratory science, you will learn key skills such as communication, materials handling, problem-solving, and teamwork with the operational areas. What Will I be Doing? You will undertake all tasks and learning required as an apprentice to become a competent Laboratory Technician by the end of the apprenticeship scheme. You’ll experience various aspects of sampling, verifying, reporting, and monitoring information while working closely alongside experienced team members within the laboratory. You’ll work within a team in the laboratory to understand the planning and execution of sampling and analysis of materials, recording using the required administrative procedures and training that supports the business in daily tasks and projects. Taking a logical approach to problem-solving and communicating with other departments, you’ll gain a good understanding and practical experience of keeping our internal and external customers satisfied and providing them with a positive experience. You’ll also gain insights into how manufacturing monitoring of materials is carried out across the site and what is involved in securing resources, personnel, and supplies for our customers.
