We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to collaborate on the design, implementation, and maintenance of our enterprise network infrastructure. You will work closely with the Network Architect to develop architectural blueprints, roadmaps, and standardization strategies. This role involves configuring and managing various network components, including Cisco switches with ISE, Palo Alto firewalls, and SASE solutions, and ensuring secure connectivity across WAN, LAN, wireless networks, and cloud platforms (AWS / Azure). You will troubleshoot network issues, optimize performance, and support cross-functional teams to maintain secure, high-performance network operations. Work location :

Can be remote with limited office visits to Hobart as required. Desired Technical Skills : Cisco Networking: Advanced skills in configuring switches, routers, and wireless infrastructure, including Cisco ISE for secure network access. Palo Alto Firewalls: Hands-on experience with firewall configurations, Prisma Access, and SASE solutions. SD-WAN & MPLS: Proficiency in managing WAN architectures, including MPLS and SD-WAN technologies. Cloud Networking: Experience with AWS and Azure networking services and cloud connectivity. Network Security: Strong knowledge of VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security appliance configurations (e.g., Aruba Clearpass, Cisco ISE). Log Management & Monitoring: Familiarity with Syslog, SIEM tools for network monitoring and issue detection. Design & Documentation: Experience in creating detailed network design documents, diagrams, and implementation plans. Problem-Solving: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues. Selection Criteria : Demonstrated experience as a Network Implementation Engineer in high-security or government environments, with expertise in secure network solutions. Hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba, and cloud networking technologies. Strong communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Desirable: Experience in a Commonwealth Government context. Should have Baseline Security. Seniority Level :
