Reporting to the Global Laboratory Manager, the laboratory technician assists the Engineering Department by assisting with test set up, creating appropriate test documentation, calibrating equipment, and maintaining the laboratory area on a day-to-day basis. Our Role

Prepares laboratory tests using correct equipment, materials, and approved processes. Keeps logs of test data and assists with compiling, analysing and documenting results. Maintains a clean laboratory area and performs day to day maintenance as needed. Maintains the Laboratory Inventory Database by capturing and updating data. Calibrates laboratory equipment and maintains schedules. Evaluates results. Assists the Laboratory Manager with business continuous improvement projects as required. Supports the Laboratory Manager with the maintenance of the ISO17025 accreditation. Contributes to continuous improvement with project and audit support. Communicates with suppliers to maintain equipment and supply levels. Actively supports Peli BioThermal’s Quality Objectives and contributes to Quality Management System activities as assigned. Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job. Performs additional duties as assigned. This is a site-based role, located in Leighton Buzzard.

Commutable from Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Luton, Northamptonshire and surrounding areas. Minimum Qualifications

Experience working in a laboratory environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office software packages. Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Ability to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously within set timeframes. Ability to follow procedures and methods and work well on a self-directed team. Must be able to interact effectively and diplomatically with all company personnel under minimum supervision. Preferred Qualifications

Two (2) years of experience in an ISO17025 accredited laboratory environment. Additional Information:

Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels. Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager. Must be flexible regarding working hours. Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously. The approximate base compensation range is shown below. The actual offer may vary based on skills, experience and location.
