Lab Technician

Macclesfield . In this role, you’ll take ownership of laboratory support with day-to-day responsibilities. Previous experience in a scientific or laboratory environment, and/or a scientific degree

is not a requirement for this role!

We’ll consider applicants from other industries as full training is provided.

This role will be a full-time, permanent position. The role will typically include stock and waste management, equipment support services, and standard laboratory tasks aligned to those laboratories. Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE)

and

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

will be provided and required as part of your role.

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm

The team You will work alongside three Technicians, who are supporting laboratory operations. You will belong to our business department Lab and Production Services, which supports leading pharmaceutical companies and laboratories globally, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.

What we’re looking for? Education:

GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent) and an interest in science.

Preferred qualifications: Good in MS Office; knowledge of SAP is a plus. Ability to understand and follow Health & Safety instructions. Process-driven and high level of attention to detail. How you will thrive and create an impact? Work in a team to organise support for scientists and ensure they have all they need to perform their daily tasks (consumables, solvents, equipment, PPE). Maintain, sort out and replenish laboratory inventories. Laboratory housekeeping – glassware wash and dry, waste management and cleaning activities, decontamination of laboratory equipment. Act as Point of Contact for customers, actively engaging with them on a regular basis to understand their business requirements, manage calendars, and respond to emails.
