Our Lincolnshire based client prides themselves on delivering high-quality services to support the agricultural community. Their laboratory team is critical in maintaining high standards for crop analysis and port operations. They are looking for a motivated individual to join their team as a Laboratory and Ports Analyst.

You will be responsible for analysing combinable crops following standard procedures and company guidelines, ensuring the smooth operation of the laboratory and associated port facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Weighbridge Operations:

Manage public weighbridge activities, including vehicle booking, weighing, and sampling. Sample Testing:

Conduct analytical tests and visual assessments for cereals, pulses, and oilseeds. Data Reporting:

Record and report analytical data, liaising with traders or FBM for feedback and issue resolution. Export Facility Support:

Test intake samples at export sites and monitor the quality of vessel loads, coordinating with the Shipping Department when necessary. General Laboratory Duties:

Maintain lab cleanliness and manage sample storage. System Maintenance:

Accurately input and manage data in company systems, adhering to relevant guidelines. Team Management:

Oversee the work of Laboratory and Ports Technicians, providing guidance during peak seasons. Collaboration:

Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication. You will have: Relevant experience in grain laboratories or weighbridge operations preferred. Background in science or mathematics is advantageous. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong focus and the ability to maintain concentration during detailed tasks. Proven time management skills and proficiency in data entry. Aptitude for mathematics, including mental arithmetic. Self-motivated, with a commitment to learning and personal growth. This is a full-time role based on site, requiring flexibility to travel, stay overnight, and work weekends or variable hours during busy periods.
