Laboratory Assistant

within our

Necropsy

(animal) team based in

Harrogate, North Yorkshire , you will play an integral part in achieving our mission by providing laboratory-based technical and operational support to colleagues working on studies. Whilst training, you will learn a broad range of standard technical laboratory skills, software systems, and techniques including how to work to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). Duties include routine procedures and duties associated with the day-to-day running of the laboratory areas, which will include some lifting. You will also be taking delivery of samples for the Necropsy team, using correct storage procedures, and dispatch of samples, internal and external. Additional responsibilities include stock control, reagent preparation, ordering of consumables, archive preparation, and cleaning and storage of equipment.
