Laboratory Assistant Stroud - Permanent fulltime (39 Hours). Day Shifts M-F. Salary DOE Due to growth, there is a new opportunity for a Laboratory Assistant to join a thriving manufacturing team working in the Aerospace and Defence sectors. Ideally looking for someone with a Chemistry background & experience, but for the right candidate training will be provided. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on laboratory setting while contributing to a company that values safety, precision, and environmental care. The Role: Assisting in the collection and testing of treatment solutions used in plating and anodising processes. Ensuring the maintenance and accurate calibration of laboratory equipment. Handling the transfer of solutions for replacement and managing waste disposal activities. Performing regular sampling and analysis of plating and anodising chemicals. Troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining analytical instruments to ensure accurate results. Upholding high standards of cleanliness and organization within the laboratory environment. Recording and managing data with precision and attention to detail. Promoting environmental responsibility in line with company policies. Adhering to company health and safety standards to maintain a safe working environment. The Person: Excellent Communicator, Team Player Willing to learn, passion for problem solving. Computer literate Excellent attention to detail Methodical and organised Qualifications Maths, English & Chemistry (GCSE Minimum) Desirable: Experienced in laboratory environment, working in AS9100/NADCAP environment.
