Our specialist client is currently recruiting a Laboratory Manager who will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the laboratory, ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant environment. This role will involve overseeing laboratory staff, equipment, and resources to support research, development, and testing activities. Responsibilities

Develop and implement laboratory policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with Company requirements. Ensure the safe and efficient operation of laboratory equipment and facilities. Oversee laboratory budgets and resources to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Oversee laboratory maintenance and repairs, including preventive maintenance schedules. Monitor laboratory performance and identify areas for improvement. Use project management tools to maximize the productivity of the department and prepare reports on metrics for leadership review. Development of experimental plans and the management of the routine testing schedule. Produce, maintain, and coordinate consumables in-line with requirements and budget. Collaborate with research and development teams to provide laboratory support and expertise. Assist in the design and execution of experiments and tests. Qualifications

Master's degree or PhD in a relevant scientific field (e.g., biology, chemistry, biochemistry). Proven experience in a laboratory setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and safety protocols. Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO, GLP, GMP). Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in laboratory management software and data analysis tools. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and safety protocols. Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team, set goals, and delegate tasks effectively. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve problems efficiently and effectively. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving business.
